Class Overview
In these years the foundation for learning is laid by making it fun and by recognising that
personal, emotional and social develooment are keys to future education. The class teacher creates plans through a range of structured audio-visual and child initiated play that reflects the teaching curriculum.
The environment reflects the starting point of early Pre-school routines using workshop areas such as role play, construction, book corner and art and craft areas. The children also have outdoor activities so that they remain stimulated all day.
Our Program
A combination of Montessori, Play-based and other prevalent curriculum of Pre-school teaching is adopted. It follows play-way and activity approach to provide a stimulating environment for holistic, i.e. intellectual, social, emotional, physical and language development of the child. The child-centered curriculum at the preschool reflects a balance between individual and group activities, free play and guided activities, active play, indoor and outdoor activities and activities to foster all aspects of development.
To provide a variety of experiences to children, the Centre undertakes activities like free and structured conversation, rhymes, songs, story-telling, story making, music and movement, dramatization, indoor play activities with blocks, beads, puzzles, doll play, ouppet play, clay modelling, outdoor games and activities like running, jumping, hopping, balancing, sand play, water play, gardening, nature walk, etc.
